ESD, cleanroom or both?
- ESD chairs: static-dissipative upholstery or polyurethane with ESD casters or glides, for electronics assembly and other ESD-controlled work areas.
- Cleanroom chairs: wipe-clean vinyl or polyurethane, for cleanrooms, labs and controlled work areas.
- ESD cleanroom chairs: both in one chair, with static-dissipative vinyl and ESD casters or glides.
Pick a height class
Match the class to your work surface. Heights run from the floor to the top of the seat. Ranges vary by chair.
- Desk Height, 16.5–24 in.: desks and tables. Cleanroom chairs only.
- Medium Bench Height, 19.5–29 in.: lab benches and counters.
- High Bench Height, 23.5–36 in.: high counters and benches, with a foot ring.
Seat, upholstery and feet
- ESD vinyl in black or blue, or ESD fabric on the ESD Chair.
- Static-dissipative polyurethane on the ESD Ergonomic Industrial Chair in Chrome, resistant to chemicals, punctures and soil.
- Commercial vinyl on the vinyl cleanroom chairs, in 9 colors. It withstands cleaning with 10% isopropyl alcohol and a 1:9 bleach solution.
- Self-skinning polyurethane on the polyurethane cleanroom chairs.
- ESD casters are dual-wheel and non-marring. ESD glides are non-marring, no wheels. Cleanroom chairs come with Self-Braking Casters or non-marring glides, no wheels.

What is an ESD chair?
A chair with electro-static dissipating components to ensure proper grounding, for electronics assembly and other ESD-controlled work areas. On Perch ESD chairs that means a static-dissipative seat and back with ESD casters or glides.
Are your ESD chairs tested?
ESD models are tested for static-dissipative performance in accordance with ANSI/ESD STM12.1, at a point-to-groundable-point resistance below 1.0 x 10^9 ohms. Testing is in-process sampling, not third-party certification. Static-dissipative performance depends on a controlled environment held at approximately 74°F with relative humidity of at least 15%.
What is the difference between an ESD chair and a cleanroom chair?
An ESD chair is built around static-dissipative materials. A cleanroom chair has a wipe-clean vinyl or polyurethane seat and back. An ESD cleanroom chair is both.
What seat heights do they come in?
ESD chairs and ESD cleanroom chairs come in Medium Bench and High Bench Height, 20.25 to 36 in. from the floor to the top of the seat. Most cleanroom chairs also come in Desk Height, from 16.5 in. Exact ranges vary by chair.
What warranty comes with an ESD chair?

Can we send it back?
